"Running SFX 6.2.3 on two custom built PCs, the AudioFire 8 is rock solid. Full standard MIDI functionality, using all 8 analogue outputs. Haven't tried using the inputs through SFX though."

"Stability is an issue if the unit is left on and in standby for an extended period. I instruct my technicians to not start SFX until just before half hour. After sound check they shut down, and restart just before doors, doing a final check and starting the preshow program. If left on between shows the Echofire loses connection with the computer. Not sure if it is an issue with the firewire card, computer, or the Echofire, but it is an issue."

"No problems with compatibility but occasional random "drop-outs" continue which are not present on the Layla 3G. I have yet to retest with v6.2."

"Will work on Windows PC and Mac, but not a Mac running Bootcamp Windows. Echo has reported no interest in making this feature available for IMac Windows."
