Active Matrix

The Active Matrix is a window that shows the current volume levels of all Standby and Playing cues.  You can easily modify any of the volumes here and then save them back to their original cues or even create new Volume Change cues!  The Active Matrix shines during tech where all the relevant volumes are displayed right in front of you so you can quickly tweak settings on-the-fly! Tell me more about the Active Matrix....

Transport Window

The Transport Window is split into two halves: the upper half lists the cue (or cues if you have multiple Cue Lists) that are in Standby.  You can even use this window to execute the cue or move to the previous or next cues.  The bottom half of the window displays the execution status of all playing cues, and you can pause or seek in this window.  Tell me more about the Transport Window...

MIDI Input/Output

Along with sound cues, SFX can playback MIDI sequences (.MID files), MIDI commands (Note on, Controller change, etc.), and MIDI Show Control (MSC).  MIDI Cues can be used to send commands, such as GOs, to light console. For example, the lightning and thunder cue sequence can be achieved by having SFX send a MIDI command to the light board to fire a specific effect, wait a fraction of a second or longer, and then play the thunder sound cue.  MIDI commands can also be sent to any device that understands MIDI such as mixing consoles and effects processors.  SFX will also read MIDI commands and MSC and can be triggered by external devices sending MIDI.  Tell me more about MIDI...
