Active Matrix

The Active Matrix gives you access to the volume levels
of all of the currently playing and about-to-be played Cues.
The number of busses (outputs) displayed is dependent on your sound card.
As your cues are playing, you can easily adjust levels without interrupting the flow of playback. Once you're satisfied with your changes, you can click a button
in the Active Matrix's toolbar to update the original cues. Or, you can click
the Create Volume Change Cue button that will then insert a Volume Change Cue into
your list containing all the changed volumes.
The screenshot illustrates a few examples of the power and flexibility of the Active
Matrix: The first two tracks have an icon that indicates that the volume level
was set by a Volume Change cue, so that any changes made here and then Updated will
update the volume levels of the Volume Change cue and not the original Sound Cue,
because that was the last cue that set the volume of the original effect. The next two tracks have a yellow dot on the Sound Cue icon indicating
the cue is loaded but not playing yet. The final four tracks have a green
dot on the Sound Cue icon indicating that those tracks are currently playing.
The toolbar in the Active Matrix has buttons to update the source cue with the volume
changes made in this window and also buttons to aid you in creating Volume Change
cues on the fly and buttons to quickly select playing or active crosspoints. |
